About Me
Janis has been working both in private and public sectors in and out of London since 2005. He has worked as a Specialist Counselling Psychologist in Community Mental Health Teams, GP surgeries, Specialist Secondary Care Psychology Services offering assessment and treatment on an individual and group basis to clients with long histories of psychological and psychiatric difficulties. Janis has also worked in specialist Drug & Alcohol services, LGBT services and psychiatric clinics.
Janis is a Director of Schema Therapy School and is also a visiting lecturer at a number of universities teaching schema therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, trauma and body-focused interventions. Janis regularly teaches in the UK as well as abroad, and has been a speaker at various national and international events and conferences.
Janis is a Counselling Psychologist approved by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), chartered with The British Psychological Society (BPS), and accredited Schema Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer registered with the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST).
Therapy and supervision sessions are available in English, Latvian and Russian.
